We’re offering up to £50,000 of investment to help farmers, landowners, and contractors bring a smart idea (or even just a real farming frustration) to life. Whether it’s a new machine, attachment, or tool, we want to help solve challenges that matter.
If you’ve spotted a problem and thought, “there has to be a better way,” this is your chance to help shape the future of machinery with the full support of our engineering team. You don’t need the solution – just the problem. We’ll work with you to figure it out.
But act fast — registrations close on 30th June 2025. If shortlisted, you’ll then receive a full application form, with final submissions due by 30th July 2025.

What is it?
The Blaney Innovator Programme is a new initiative from Blaney Group (the people behind Blaney Agri and Quad-X), focused on community-led innovation.
We’re inviting submissions of ideas for new machinery or attachments that:
- Solve real farming problems
- Save time, labour or money
- Improve safety or efficiency
- Help your business — and others like it — work smarter
Shortlisted ideas will be reviewed by our panel, and the winning concept(s) will receive up to £50,000 of support including:
- Product design and development
- Full prototype build
- Testing and refinement in collaboration with our engineers

Why are we doing this?
“Many of our best machines started with a conversation”
– Sean Blaney, Founder & Chief Engineer
Blaney Group was built on listening to farmers. This programme gives structure to that process — helping us formally support brilliant ideas from our community and bring more of them to market.
We want to work with people who live and breathe real farming problems — and give them the tools to help solve them.
Who can apply?
Anyone in the UK or Ireland involved in agriculture, contracting or land management can register their idea.
You don’t need to be an inventor or engineer — just someone with insight into a real challenge. Whether you have an idea for a fix or just want help solving a problem, we want to hear from you.
How to Get Involved
Step 1: Register Your Interest
Tell us about your idea or frustration here — what challenge it tackles and who it helps.
Step 2: Full Submission
We’ll follow up with a detailed entry form to capture your idea more fully.
Step 3: Review & Shortlist
Our judging panel will assess all eligible ideas and select finalists.
Step 4: Collaborate
The selected idea(s) will be developed in partnership with our engineers.
Step 5: Prototype & Field Testing
If the idea proves viable, Blaney will build a working prototype and test it in real-world farming conditions.
Step 6: Manufacture & Market Launch
Once proven, Blaney will move to full production — helping other farmers benefit from the developed solution too.

FAQs
Is this open to customers in Ireland?
Yes – we welcome submissions from across the UK and Ireland.
Do I need to have a finished design?
No – even a rough sketch or clear description is enough.
Can more than one idea be selected?
Yes – we may select multiple ideas if they show strong potential.
Does it need to be a completely new idea?
No – A good idea can be the improvement or adaption of an existing solution
What if I just have a problem but not a clear idea yet?
That’s absolutely fine. We’re just as interested in hearing about real farming frustrations as we are in full ideas. Our team can help work through possible solutions with you.
