Blaney Group Placement Student Recognised at Ulster University Innovation in Placement Awards

Blaney Group is proud to congratulate placement student Joseph Mooney, who was recognised as Runner-up in the Engineering category at the Ulster University Innovation in Placement Awards 2026.

The awards celebrate students who have demonstrated exceptional innovation, technical ability and real business impact during their industry placements. Joseph’s recognition reflects not only his own dedication and talent, but also Blaney Group’s commitment to giving placement students the opportunity to contribute to meaningful engineering projects from day one.

Joseph also contributed to a number of wider engineering initiatives, supporting improvements to manufacturing processes, engineering systems and product development activities. Collectively, his work has delivered significant cost savings while reinforcing Blaney Group’s commitment to continuous improvement, operational excellence and innovation.
