We’re offering up to £50,000 of investment to help farmers, landowners, contractors and those working across the industry bring a smart idea, or even just a real frustration, to life.
Whether it’s a new machine, attachment or tool, we want to help solve challenges that matter in real working environments.
If you’ve spotted a problem and thought, “there has to be a better way,” this is your chance to help shape the future of machinery with the full support of our engineering team.
You don’t need the solution, just the problem. We’ll work with you to figure it out.
This year’s registrations close on 30th June 2026. If shortlisted, you’ll then receive a full application form, with final submissions due by 30th July 2026.
Applications Now Open for 2026
Following a strong first year, the Blaney Innovator Programme returns for 2026, building on a wide range of ideas, conversations and real-world challenges shared by farmers, contractors and industry professionals.
Several ideas from 2025 are already progressing into further development alongside our engineering team, reinforcing the programme’s focus on turning real-world thinking into practical solutions.
Applications are now open.

No problem. You can still register your interest and we’ll guide you through the next steps.
What is it?
The Blaney Innovator Programme is an initiative from Blaney Group, the team behind Blaney Agri and Quad-X, focused on community-led innovation.
It’s built around a simple principle: The best ideas come from real work, in real conditions.
We’re inviting submissions of ideas for new machinery or attachments that:
- Solve real farming problems
- Save time, labour or money
- Improve safety or efficiency
- Help businesses work smarter day to day
Shortlisted ideas will be reviewed by our panel, and selected concepts will receive up to £50,000 of support, including:
- Product design and development
- Full prototype build
- Testing and refinement in collaboration with our engineers
Some concepts already being explored include ways to turn waste materials into usable resources, helping reduce fertiliser and chemical inputs.

Why are we doing this?
“Many of our best machines started with a conversation”
– Sean Blaney, Founder & Chief Engineer
Blaney Group has always developed machinery by listening to the people using it. The ideas coming through reflect the real pressures facing modern farming, from labour and time constraints to making better use of resources already on farm.
This programme simply gives that process a clearer route, helping us take more of those ideas forward and turn them into practical solutions that work, last, and deliver real value.
Who can apply?
Anyone across the UK and Ireland involved in agriculture, contracting, land management, or related industries can register their idea.
You don’t need to be an inventor or engineer – just someone with insight into a real challenge.
Whether you have a clear idea or just know something could be done better, we want to hear from you.

FAQs
Is this open to customers in Ireland?
Yes, we welcome submissions from across the UK and Ireland.
Do I need to have a finished design?
No, even a rough idea, sketch or clear problem is enough.
Can more than one idea be selected?
Yes, we may select multiple ideas if they show strong potential.
Does it need to be a completely new idea?
No. A good idea can be the improvement or adaption of something that already exists.
What if I just have a problem but not a clear idea yet?
That’s exactly what we’re looking for. Our team can help work through possible solutions with you.
