Cubicle Bed management is the key to healthy, happy cows and Blaney Agri have recently launched a new machine to help you bed your way towards a more profitable enterprise.    The CB Discus, Cubicle Bedder, has been developed in response to customer demand for a robust machine that can deal with a range of bedding materials including sand, shavings, sawdust, chopped straw and lime mix.

Sand-bedded cubicles have become very popular in some areas, but the abrasive nature of sand has meant manufacturers are cautious about offering a machine for this.  But never one to shy away from a challenge, UK based manufacturer – Blaney, have worked alongside dairy farmers to develop the CB Discus.  It has been cleverly designed to work with a broad range of bedding materials, with the option to fine tune the settings to work with your set up and achieve the finish you want.  This self-loading, hydraulically driven machine couples conveniently to any standard front or rear 3 point linkage, telescopic loader or skid steer.  It is available in a range of sizes and with a galvanised finish as standard.

The CB Discus, as the name suggests uses an effective twin disc system for a customised spread pattern.  Innovative air inducers and independent high speed motors improve spread quality and distance for a more comfortable and absorbent bed.  It can spread to either side, with easy control over quantity and distance of spread.  An effective agitator with wide reaching flights prevents bridging in the hopper, while an innovative stepped feed system with a high torque motor ensures a constant feed of bedding material.

This CB Discus model expands the Blaney Cubicle bedder range, adding to the belt model where much investment was made to develop the unique waved rotor at the base of the hopper to agitate material more effectively than conventional designs for even discharge onto the belt.
